Council tax bands

UK council tax bands (A to H) determine how much you pay. Properties are banded by value, set in 1991 (England/Scotland) or 2003 (Wales).

Council tax bands A-H classify UK properties by 1991/2003 values.1 Band A pays 67% of Band D, Band H pays 200%. Check your band at gov.uk or challenge via VOA if incorrect.2
